Walking Somewhere

A stroll in Somerville

Since in my last blog post I mentioned wanting to walk around on nice paths during my Boston trip, I had originally planned to take some pictures of said paths. And I took pictures of the friends I met up with, the earrings I bought, and of a Dunkin’ storefront (I weirdly miss seeing that ugly neon Dunkin’ sign around; there aren’t as many in New York)... but I forgot to take pictures during my long walk on the Somerville Community Path. :(

An hour after the walk, when I realized I hadn’t taken any pictures, I actually felt a little proud. I usually record meticulously and have historically had a hard time living in the moment. But I guess the walk really was just that nice :) Well, the real reason was probably that it was raining and I was holding a guava juice I’d bought in order to use a nearby cafe’s restroom. But it’s also true that the walk was nice! I smelled the sweet air, heard friends chatting as they passed by, and saw lots of people biking or walking their dogs. I want to come back in the fall.
